Our students brought the season to life with uniquely decorated turkeys, heartfelt original poems and essays about thankfulness, and the K-6 Tree of Gratitude—each leaf representing what our young learners cherish most. 🌳❤️ |
These projects are a wonderful reminder of the joy in pausing to reflect on the blessings around us. We are so thankful for our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive families who make the Model community so special. |

This morning, our Kindergarteners shared what they’re most grateful for during the beloved Thanksgiving Gratefulness Parade! They created festive “floats” and posters highlighting their families, friends, teachers, favorite hobbies, and more. 🦃❤️

🎨🎬 Last week, our Visual Arts and Media Arts students dove into creativity during EKU's Open Studio Day. From crafting unique art pieces to exploring the inspiring Giles Gallery and stepping behind the scenes in the TV studio, they experienced hands-on learning like never before. Being part of the EKU family opens incredible doors for our students to explore their passions and sharpen their skills. Thank you, EKU, for giving our future artists and creators a day to dream big and create boldly! 🤩

In honor of Election week, the ECDC students voted for their favorite gross motor area between the Playground and the Gross Motor Room. Model Lab promotes hands-on, real-world experiences, no matter the grade level, to design our world-class education. 🌟

The Upper West parking lot in Alumni Coliseum will be closed on Friday, November 8, due to EKU Family Weekend. Students and employees must park in the lower lot by the baseball field and Kentucky State Police post. Parking services informed us any vehicle parked in the Upper West lot of Alumni Coliseum on Friday will be towed.
