The Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) is an early childhood lab school program accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Center has a 5-STAR rating by KY All Stars - Kentucky Department of Education and CHFS Division of Childcare.

The purpose of this program is to provide early childhood experiences for preschool children and their families.  It is utilized by the Department of Applied Human Sciences to provide pre-service learning experiences for Child and Family Studies students.

Learning opportunities are designed to emphasize the development of the whole child; socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, linguistically, and creatively.  Equally important are the learning experiences for adults who strive to support the growth and development of all children in the most appropriate environment with individual adaptions.
