Get in, Model Family – we’re going to a musical! Based on the hit 2004 movie Mean Girls, this stage adaptation brings Tina Fey’s sharp wit and heart to life in a wickedly hilarious and relatable story. Packed with catchy songs and laugh-out-loud moments, the show explores how to rise above high school drama through self-discovery, kindness, and personal growth. It's going to be so fetch!

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. Navigating cliques and high school politics, she squares off against The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. When Cady and her friends devise a "Revenge Party" to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

Mean Girls High School Version contains adult themes, strong language, and depictions of mature situations that may not be appropriate for all audiences. This musical follows the plot of the 2004 film, faithfully including much of its iconic dialogue and scenes, though the Mean Girls High School Version has been adapted with revisions for younger performers. Parents of younger children are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the movie or musical soundtrack before purchasing tickets or attending.

While Mean Girls High School Version addresses mature content, it also provides an opportunity for meaningful discussions about healthy vs. unhealthy friendships, bullying, social media, and navigating adolescence. At Model, we’ve incorporated these conversations into our rehearsal process and hope the production inspires similar reflections among our audience.
