Our week could not have started better than meeting our students and their families! 🥳
We hosted our annual New Family Picnic and Orientation as a big welcome into the Model Family and launched our 6th Grade Academy this week. Students also came to visit teachers and discover new classrooms, and we were so glad to have crowded hallways again!

For the 2022-23 school year, Model Laboratory students recorded the highest student achievement yet on Advanced Placement exams with 74.22% of Model students earning qualifying scores on their AP exams for a total of 142 qualifying scores—the highest percentage ever recorded at Model!
Congratulations to the 274 recipients of the Model Laboratory School Spring 2023 Dean’s List! 🎉 To be considered for this distinction, a secondary student must have achieved at least a 3.50 GPA during the semester.
With Model’s challenging curriculum, competitive atmosphere, and vibrant tradition of academic excellence, these students have shown hard work pays off!
Model Laboratory School is excited to announce the new Varsity Boys' Basketball Head Coach, Chris Evans! Great Crossing High School Head Assistant, Coach Evans, takes the reins as a former collegiate player with nine years of coaching experience in the 11th and 12th Regions. Evans is also the Director of AAU organization, Kentucky Future Elite, Inc. We welcome Coach Evans and his wife Tabitha into the Model Family!

The Model Lab Library transformed into the West Egg today as Junior English students put on their bowties and pearls for their annual Gatsby party after reading the famous American novel, "The Great Gatsby." Students partied like it was 1925 by showing off their best Charleston and catering their event with classic 1920s recipes. It was an egg-stravagant time, Old Sport! ✨🎉
