Model Laboratory Schools at Eastern Kentucky University is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Amber Catron as the new Elementary Assistant Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. With an impressive career spanning 15 years in education, Mrs. Catron brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to fostering academic excellence.
Mrs. Catron has an extensive background in education, having served in various roles. Her roles have included teaching third and fourth grades, serving as an Assistant Principal, and most recently, leading as the Principal at Russell Cave Elementary in Fayette County Public Schools. Her leadership and dedication have been instrumental in driving educational success and creating a supportive learning environment.
Mrs. Catron holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, both from Eastern Kentucky University. Her academic and professional journey reflects a strong foundation in educational principles and a passion for nurturing student growth and achievement.
Residing in Richmond, Ky. with her husband, John, and their son, Avery, Mrs. Catron is deeply connected to the community, and she looks forward to being a part of Model Laboratory Schools' tradition of excellence.
