Model Task Force September Letter

Dear Faculty and Staff Colleagues:
In his email last week, President Benson charged the Model Taskforce with engaging with Model and EKU faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni to build a shared vision and strategy to move Model forward in the face of looming fiscal and facilities challenges. This process will yield recommendations for a path forward that strengthens our ability to support student outcomes at Model, while honoring the uniqueness of the experience that is so valued and loved by Alumni and the many parents, grandparents, and community members with ties to the School.
The work of the task force began this week with the Model administrative team and will quickly proceed to parents, faculty, staff, teachers, students, alumni, community members, and local government representatives over the next several weeks. We ask that you participate in these discussions and provide input in all of the ways you feel comfortable doing so. As you can see from the timeline below, there are multiple opportunities to be involved and we deeply appreciate your efforts to enrich the dialogue as we search for the best path forward.

In addition to participation in the above events, we encourage you to provide input using the form at anonymous feedback form will be open until October 12th.
We will summarize all of the feedback provided through this process and use it to draft the recommendations presented to the Board of Regents in November. Once the recommendations are drafted, stakeholders will have an opportunity to discuss the recommendations prior to the presentation.
