Model Students Use New Technology

New interactive screens allow students to complete enrichment activities and enhance course work.  The students also enjoy interactive educational games.

President Benson Reads to Pre-K

As part of Read Across America week, President Benson reads to students at Model's Pre-K. 

Homecoming at Model Features Chili Supper

Come see Model's girls and boys basketball teams play at Homecoming, 2015 on Friday, February 13.  There is also a chili supper starting at 5:00 pm in the grill open to all sponsored by Project Graduation.  Girls game starts at 6:00.  Boys games starts at 7:30.  Crowning of the queen and king will be between games.

Model Closed Feb. 11

Model Laboratory School will be closed on Wednesday, Feb. 11, in light of the recent terroristic threat that promised violence on the EKU campus on that date.

Program on drugs by Kentucky State Police for Feb. 11 has been postponed.  New date will be announced.

Information about Elementary Schedule and parent Q & A meetings was sent home with grades K-5.  It is also posted on a tab on this website.

State Police Present on Drugs Feb. 11

Attention parents and all adults who care about our teenagers:  On Wednesday, February 11, 6:00, Model Auditorium, Officer Robert Purdy will present a program on drugs, alcohol, and teenagers.  This information is crucial for everyone who cares about our teenagers in this day and age.  The meeting is open to the public.

Holla Wins Spelling Bee

Seventh grader Shria Holla spelled her way to the top spot in the Model Spelling Bee for grades 1-8.  Two winners from each grade level competed in the final event held in the Whitlock auditorium.  Mason Hamrick and Milin Shah were runners-up. 

New Design for Model Library

New furniture has just been delivered and exciting technology stations are ready for student use!  IPads are already being accessed by students as part of library classes.
