The Model Swim Team Tradition Continues

Model Swim Team

Congratulations to the Model Swim Team athletes, coaches and parents! The Team claimed the Regional Runner-up title on February 9th, with the boys winning their championship and the girls finishing as runners-up. The excitement included individual first place winners and setting of some regional records. This success builds upon Model's strong tradition of excellence in swimming.

Congratulations to Model Middle Kentucky Youth Assembly Participants

On November 10th, Model Middle School students represented our school at the 2018 Kentucky Youth Assembly. 

Veterans Day Activities

Several Veterans Day events are planned in Madison County, including those at Model Laboratory School and Eastern Kentucky University. Model's event will be November 13th at the EKU Center for the Arts beginning at 9:00 a.m. The theme is: 100th Anniversary of World War I, Honoring All Who Served.

Art Education: From Kentucky to Japan

Karen Edwards is an art instructor with Model Laboratory School at Eastern Kentucky University. She is also a part of an educational and cultural tradition that spans decades and continents. In October, 2018, Karen spent two weeks serving as a U.S. ambassador, Madison County representative, and Model Lab School visiting artist in Hokuto City, Japan.

Richmond Mural Highlights
