Model Closes for Officer Ellis's Services

President Benson has announced that Model will close early on Tuesday at 12:30 pm and will be closed all day on Wednesday to support and allow for the services of Officer Ellis of the Richmond Police Department.  Pick up procedures on Tuesday will follow the same routine as usual.

President Benson Plans for New Model Lab and College of Education Building

In his 2015 Convocation for faculty and staff held at the EKU Performing Arts Center on August 18, President Mike Benson discussed many positive changes being made to the EKU campus and many student success stories.

Model Honors Alumni and Retired Teachers

Model Lab and the EKU Advancement Office hosted a luncheon in the library for alumni from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, in addition to retired teachers.  

Successful Seniors Make the Transition to College and Career

On May 22, 55 Model seniors walked across the stage to receive their diploma from EKU Provost Janna Vice.  The graduates earned $1.2 million in college scholarships.  Over 37% of these students graduated with college credits from Eastern Kentucky University already earned through courses taken during high school.  They also logged over 2,500 hours of community and school service.

Model WILL Have School on Tuesday May 19

May 19 which was originally not a school day because of primary election day will now be a school day to make up a snow day.  Students WILL attend on May 19.  The last day of school for students will be May 22.

Model Students Invited to Join Color of Maroon 5K

The 3rd annual Color of Maroon 5K will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00AM.  Campus Recreation invites all Model families  to participate in this annual fun run/walk sure to be a colorful time for everyone!  Model students age 11 and older, and family members can register for the low price of only $15 each using the coupon link below.
