Artist from Japan Teaches 5th Grade Students

The Student Art Exchange between Madison County and Hokuto City in Japan was continued as visiting artist Nakazawa-san taught lessons to 5th grade students.  Excellent art was enjoyed by all!

Student Attending Yale Summer Program

 Emily Johnson has been selected to attend Yale University’s Model United Nations summer program. Emily was one of twenty-five students selected from thousands who applied from around the world.

4th Graders Create Original Play

Fourth and fifth grade Drama Club students, with sponsor Jasmine Rutherford, performed "International Spies" to a packed auditorium.  The play was written by fourth graders Emma Rupard and Elena Smith.

Art Students Receive Awards

Art students Madeline Frenzl and Trisha Brockmeyer received awards in the Congressional Art Competition, presented by Congressman Ben Chandler. Madeline Frenzl for the Prints category and Trisha Brockmeyer for the Madison County winner. Their art teacher is Jeremy Newell.
