Elementary Career Day

Model parent volunteers and community members presented to Model Elementary students about various careers.  Students learned about physical therapy, fire fighting, technology, fish and wildlife, dietetics, law enforcement, golf, EMT, biology, dentistry and criminal justice. 

Skype Allows Egyptology Study

Mr. Robinson's ancient history class had a ninety minute discussion via the SKYPE platform with Rachel Mittleman of the University of Memphis. Ms. Mittleman is a PhD candidate and Graduate Assistant in the Egyptology Department at UM. She discussed the Libyan Kings, the greatness of Tuthmose I and Tuthmose III, and the future of Egyptology.

Youth Leadership Madison County Visits Businesses

Model High School students who are members of Youth Leadership Madison County visited ElectroDryer and GR Spring and Stamping Company to learn about business and industry.  They were able to see how ElectroDryer works all over the world and uses technology to collaborate.
