Model Students Learn African Music and Dance

Model High School students joined with EKU students in a unique music and dance workshop experience featuring nationally acclaimed Nigerian artist Toby Foyeh and Orchestra Africa.  Students were invited as part of the gifted program at Model by Dr. Salome Nnoromele, Director of the EKU African/African-American Studies Program.

Book Fair Open All Week

Students and parents got their first chance to browse at the Scholastic Book Fair during the Fall Festival.  The Book Fair will be open each day from 8-4 during the week of October 17-21.  Elementary students will visit the fair during library times.  Parents are welcome at any time.

Model Boys Soccer - District Winners

Model HS Boys Soccer won their District Championship match beating Madison Central 2-1 in a game that was tied at the end of regulation and still tied after two overtimes.  In the shoot out, Model won on the fourth kick.  They will go on to Regional competition.

Humane Society Club and Art Club

The Humane Society Club and the Art Club participated in the Blessing of the Animals event at Richmond.  Led by club sponsors Betsy Grise and Jeremy Newll, the students assisted participants, sold items to make donations to the Humane Socity, and had their own pets blessed.  Model's Tim Hoover won the adult art contest with a drawing of his pet.  The day was community and sch
